Check out what I have been working on below!
Displaying Futura
School Project
This project tasked students with creating an app that displayed letters A through Z that allows users to learn more about each character, adjust character weight, and create custom words or phrases.
For this project, I designed the first wireframes on paper, then recreated them in Figma. I tested some basic interactions, then got to work creating the prototype. My professor challenged students to complete this using only two frames. At first, it was quite the head scratcher. After running through a few ideas, I found a way to display all of the necessary information, in one frame!
Now, it was time for the real work. After watching lots of help videos, designing the component sets, implementing variables, testing interactions, and correcting my errors, I finally had a fully functional, pixel perfect mockup. This project really challenged me and helped me grow to where I am today.
Now, if only we could figure out the dynamic backspace component in Figma! :)

The Showcase
School Project
This project tasked students with creating twenty four icons and showcasing them on a microsite. The user needed to be able to view each icon on a grid, select an icon to learn more about it, view icons with or without stroke, and switch between two different color palettes.
This project was a great starter project. I started by designing each logo in Adobe Illustrator. Then, I created paper wireframes for my microsite. From there, I created digital wireframes in Figma and quickly moved on to creating the prototype and final mock up.
If I could go back to change one thing, I would learn how to use components before working on the prototype. Oh the time I could have saved!

Rose Family Bakery Ordering App
School Project
This project tasked students with creating an app for a mock local business, the Rose Family Bakery. The stakeholder wanted us to show the user flow for a customer that wants to purchase one cake and thirty-six cupcakes for delivery.
I started this project by brainstorming some ideas for frames on paper, but quickly moved to creating the digital wireframes. From there, I moved on creating the prototype using the Material 3 Design Kit in Figma. One of the requirements was to create the prototype using a component library, not our own components.
This assignment presented a fun challenge for me, and really showed me how much I enjoyed creating the interactions in Figma. It is so rewarding adding the interactions, testing it and correcting the ones you missed until you have a fully polished prototype!
